I guess my friends and I fall into that unfortunate group of UAE residents trying to get away from the heat. Despite your slightly facetious tone, I am still looking forward to visiting Salalah, but I am afraid after seeing your list, that I will be sorely ripped off. Just a quick question, as far as protests and uprising go - is there anything I need to be concerned about?

I've spent a lot more time on your blog than I intended on and must say, you do write very well indeed. I just read your post on FGM in Oman. Shocking and unfortunate. Keep up the good work!Eva Fernandeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16559459174523688056noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2311943055243587440.post-61458344646682244862011-07-05T23:51:51.320+04:002011-07-05T23:51:51.320+04:00It's so funny because it's so true!

The tensions that can accompany Ramadhan in a hot climate are literally cooled by the monsoon rains (especially the rushed pre-iftar shopping drive when everyone's blood sugar is low and temper high).

Love love love Salalah!Secret Salalahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11313952261170968453noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2311943055243587440.post-10285103554640443222011-07-05T22:58:32.215+04:002011-07-05T22:58:32.215+04:00We live part time in Muscat and your post makes us...We live part time in Muscat and your post makes us really miss Oman!Jamilla Camelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11631946088006140311noreply@blogger.com
